Police arrest man for 'not' taking photos of sewer-grates
Olivier Laurent
Channel M (for Manchester) has the story of a man who was arrested for allegedly taking part in terrorism reconnaissance by taking pictures of sewer-grates in Manchester. The problem? The man was not taking pictures. He didn't even have a camera, and there were no pictures of sewer-grates on his phone... Watch the report here.

The main problem with idiotic laws is when you have them policed by even greater idiots.
There would surely be greater public outrage at these kinds of events if only the police didnt make such idiots out of themselves every time.
Hi. Here’s a video clip of the police in action.

It is worth noting that, had the police realised that they were being filmed they could have arrested the photographer under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008 and confiscated the film.
Fortunately they didn’t notice.
