Canon 550D
Hi David
I read your review of this camera with interest and it seems great apart from the memory cards.
I've been thinking of it as working together with my Canon 5D Mark 11 which I find a bit heavy for travel photography and also like the longer telephoto reach
However there's one curious thing - I've been an Alamy contributor for a long time and still have pictures from a few years ago.
Just by chance I checked the requirements again and see that Alamy are now looking for uncompressed images of 24 MB, which doesn't need interpolation even with a 12 mexapixel camera.
This surprised me but it means that images don't need interpolation any more.
Cheers
John

Autobracketing
Great review. The one thing I would have liked them to do would have been 5 shot autobracketing instead of 3. Would make creating HDR images easier. Some other brand cameras can do this already. But most of Canon's line suffers from this.

CANON-550D makes you feel invisible.
Great camera, I was using it in Kashmir while covering the conflict then went to Kolkata. Using too much gears always made me visible , but this camera with a 50mm or a fixed 24mm makes you really look like an amature while people gives a pass & you get your images.

Need inputs
Hi David,
Need your advice. I am an entry level photographer and want to buy DSLR. I am struggling between Nikon D90 and Cannon 550D. Can you please recommend, which one should I pick? My first priority is image quality. Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Dipanker

DC Power Input
I read you review with interest and fortunately it backs up all the research that I did both on line and other users of DSLR cameras. and I am very happy with my purchase. The only comment that I would make is that it does not come with a DC power input as far as I can see and you do need a dummy battery.
