Hi there,
Its a very interesting article about the decline of darkrooms. Having said this, there are still hundreds of black and white darkrooms still in use across the UK.
Its seems odd, an industry with few darkrooms in comparison with an education industry where i believe more has to be done to educate students, still has just as many operating successful dark rooms still in operation.
If only the two could communicate and open their doors to hiring out darkroom space to the profession, wouldnt every one be happy?
(ps to make myself clear, I believe there is a hell of alot of good education in photography being taught, what there could be more of perhaps is the tie in between education and industry, graduating from courses)
