feesability study
We need to discover who pioneered the charging of entry to gallery and magazine photographic competitions.
THe rights of the photographer are not merely being undermined on the streets , and unlike policemen, these particular terrorists imagine that whilst they obtain free copies of your work (unless you pay for their return- but they can still make copies, anyone can),
you their author/creator/whatever must pay even to enter, INCROYABLE!!!!
It seems to me we should be PAID to enter their galleries and magazines- surely fees are payable, but no, just like the kids who are not paid to study for the future prosperity and support of our "society", at school or university, and who are charged entrance fees, so, someone, with dare I say a degree (in something of no use probably) took it upon themselves to make money out of opening our emails with attachments (as solicitors have the nerve to do) and our mail containing prints that represent work they have not paid for.
So where is the pioneer of this practice?
And what is to be done with such people?
I would suggest a botcott of all galleries and publications charging to see our work.
