The SP-565 UZ offers a zoom range equivalent to 26-520mm in 35mm format, and has two image stabilisers - one mechanical and one digital. It can shoot up to 13.5fps and features a pre-capture mode, which starts recording pictures before the shutter is fully pressed. The camera offers manual overrides, allowing users to adjust aperture and shutter speeds. It also comes with 23 scene modes and face detection technology.
In addition to a built-in flash, the camera is compatible with Olympus' FL-50R and FL-36R wireless flash units. The SP-565 UZ supports both xD-Picture cards and microSD. It will retail in late September at £350.
