Foto8 and HOST Gallery are hosting theird third annual Foto8 Summer Show, which sees photographers compete for a chance to appear among a selection of 150 images exhibited at the gallery this summer, as well as the opportunity to win £1500.

The resulting exhibition will go on show from 26 July until 04 September with 150 images displayed in a variety of sizes and shapes, installed from floor to ceiling, the organisers say. "All works included in the show will be available for sale. The print exhibition will kick-off with live music and a street festival taking over Honduras Street, EC1 on Friday 23 July."

Once the show is up, "an expert team of judges will choose their favourite photograph to be named "Best in Show". This will be announced during the fourth week of the show and the winner will be awarded £1500. A second award, "The People's Choice" will be decided from the votes received in the gallery during the show, and presented with a prize of photographic kit."

The deadline for entries is 31 May with all successful applicants notified by 18 June. For more information, visit foto8.com.
