Everything you wanted to know about publishing but were afraid to ask....

Foto8 is running a seminar on photobook publishing next weekend, including Gerry Badger, Joachim Schmid and Chris Steele-Perkins

Author: Diane Smyth

Fancy learning All You Need to Know About Publishing Your Book Project? Foto8 can help. It's running a seminar under that moniker in two weeks, covering everything from traditional largescale publication to printing your own book or zine.

Held at the HOST Gallery in East London, the seminar will open on Friday 09 July with a drinks reception followed by Joachim Schmid in conversation with writer and photographer Aaron Schuman. On Saturday 10 July, Gerry Badger, David Gray, Chris Steele-Perkins and Andreas Koller will cover issues such as photobook narrative, creating your own design, editing your work and approaching publishers. Schmid and Steele-Perkins are respected photographers, Badger probably needs no introduction as the co-author of The Photobook Volumes I and II, David Gray has self-published several books and Koller is an editor at art book publishing house Editions Patrick Frey.

Registration costs £135 and must be booked in advance - only 35 places are available. Visit the Foto8 page to book, or contact Anna Pfab on 020 7253 8801 or seminars@foto8.com.
