BJP's 2009 Project Assistance Award winner Sam Faulkner has won one of this year's Getty Images Grants for Good, which will see him develop "compelling new imagery that will strengthen the communications and elevate the awareness of a non-profit he has have to support."
For his Stop the Cut project, Faulkner will collaborate with Sicco Diemer of the Mon Frere ad agency to develop a media campaign for Sini Sanuman, a non-profit dedicated to stopping female genital mutilation in Mali. Faulkner will create a series of portraits of Malian women and girls affected by the issue. The campaign will promote the 'International Day Against Female Genital Mutilation' on 06 February 2011.
Annie Marie Musselman will work with Ron Kipnis of 619 Graphic Design to create the For the Innocent campaign in a bid to stop the trade of wildlife animals in Asia. The campaign will benefit the Orangutan Outreach non-profit organisation, which works with the Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Centre.
In addition to the cash prize, the winning photographers will have the option to collaborate with Getty Images’ team of art directors, photo editors and producers during the execution of their project.

Andrew Delaney, head of content North America, for Getty Images comments: "We are pleased that this year’s grants will go towards tackling two important world issues: curtailing the illegal trafficking of wild animals in Indonesia and vastly improving the health and lives of young women in Mali."
