Institute adds Lawrence and Clark

Photographers Robert Clark and Wayne Lawrence have joined the Institute for Artist Management, bringing to 19 the number of photographers the new agency now represents

Robert Clark is a freelance photographer based in New York. His work has been featured in Nationa Geographic, for which he has worked with for the past 15 years, Vanity Fair, Time, Sports Illustrated and Stern among many others.

Clark followed author Buzz Bissinger to document the lives of high-school football players in Odessa, Texas for the book Friday Night Lights, which later became a motion picture and television series on NBC and DirecTV.

He won a World Press Photo award for his coverage of the 9/11 attacks in New York, which he witnessed from his rooftop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Wayne Lawrence is a documentary photographer, also based in Brooklyn. "His work is a visual diary of his life experiences, and focuses on individuals and rituals within communities otherwise overlooked by the mainstream media," says the Institute. Lawrence was selected as one of Photo District News' 30 photographers to watch in 2010.
