Unveiled, the wedding photography competition BJP is running in conjunction with Hasselblad, Wedding magazine and the Pro Centre, is now open until 30th September.
Photographers now have one more month to enter, submitting five images from a real-life wedding. Entry is free, and the winner will see their work published in Wedding magazine, one of the biggest bridal titles in the UK. The winning photographer will also get the chance to try out the latest Hasselblad kit plus lights and accessories, completely free of charge courtesy of the Pro Centre.
This is the first time BJP has run a wedding photography competition, and to launch the prize we held a special event on wedding photography, which included a talk by Catherine Westwood, editor of Wedding magazine. She gave a helpful, humorous and sometimes brutally honest run down of what she’s looking for in real-life wedding photography. Do set the scene, shoot the details and think outside of the box, she said: don’t, whatever you do, add naff fake colours in Photoshop.
The chance to try some Blad kit out. What kind of a prize is that?! Photographers are becoming less relative.
As Martin wrote, so my reaction was the same.
i.e. a chance to try out some Blad kit!
IS THAT ALL?
Thats not a prize!
Yeah, it is true not much of a prize
I think it is just to get publicity for the magazine or blagging rights for the photographer.
But definitely not much of a prize!
If it was a canon 5D for keeps or some cash... just bring it on!
Entrants also agree the grant of a non-exclusive license to BJP, Hasselblad and The Pro Centre solely for the promotion of the Unveiled competition.
Yep, definitely to get publicity for the magazine.
