Quantum’s smallest and most compact power source for portable flash units is now available in the UK through Flaghead Photographic (who supply to retailers across the country).
The Turbo Blade boats "ultra fast recycling and high capacity in a small, compact case", delivering 400 full power flashes with a hotshoe flash and recycling times of 1.4s to full power.
Using a nickel metal hydride battery, claimed to suffer no memory problems, the device is the direct replacement for Quantum's Turbo Slim Compact unit, and accepts all existing cables and weighs just 420g. It comes with a worldwide charger and camera mounting screw included, delivers a full charge in 1.5 hours, and is compatible with hundreds of flash units from Canon, Nikon, Quantum, Sunpak and many more.
Priced just under £500 including VAT, the Turbo Blade is housed in a toughened case that attaches to the camera base via it’s tripod thread and is designed for photographers who prefer a camera-mounted battery pack for ease of use.
