Lewis Blackwell has moved to a new post as director of strategy at Image Source, the royalty-free stock provider.
Previously an executive board member of Getty Images, and editor-in-chief and publisher of Creative Review, Lewis is well respected in the world of commercial photography. He’s also created books, magazines, exhibitions and new media work, and has experience in both film and photography.
“Image Source takes great pride in its position at the premium end of the market so it makes sense for us to be working with one of the leading creative minds in our industry,” said Christina Vaughan, founder and chief executive officer of Image Source. “Lewis is someone who understands the power of a compelling and engaging brand and we are pleased to have him join us on the Image Source adventure.”
Speaking from Image Source’s central London headquarters, Blackwell said he was excited to be involved at this stage of Image Source’s development, adding: “Image Source has a great opportunity to surprise and delight its customers and artists in new ways and I will be dedicating myself to make that happen.”
BJP will be interviewing Blackwell about his plans in the next couple of days: check back for updates.
