Bowens has launched Streamlite 330 and Streamlite 530, which deliver a "soft, even light output equivalentto 330W and 550W of tugsten lighting respectively. "Switch on the 330 and the three 30W fluorescent bulbs, combined with the large detachable reflector with its brilliant white surface, deliver a wide spread of directional 'sunlight'," claims Bowens.
"This makes Streamlite ideal for situations where the subject matter may be adversely affected by high levels of heat, such as food products or even close-up portraiture," says marketing director Robert Cook.
The Streamlite 530 uses five independently controlled spiral lamps and delivers 10,000 hours of continuous lighting. Both models ship with an elasticised diffuser that fits over the reflector to create even softer light on demand, says the firm.
A 330 kit is also available and includes two Steamlites 330s, two portable foldaway stands, as well as a semi-rigid Cocoon Light tent with its support stand.
The Streamlite 330 retails at £175, while the 530 model is available at £220. Visit www.bowens.co.uk.
