Kodak Portra 400

To celebrate BJP's 20,000th Facebook fan, Kodak is offering 100 rolls of Professional Portra 400 film

Author: Olivier Laurent

British Journal of Photography and Kodak are partnering to offer BJP's Facebook fans 100 rolls of the Kodak Professional Portra 400 film, which offers "the world's finest grain at 400 speed."

"At true ISO 400 speed, this film delivers spectacular skin tones plus exceptional color saturation over a wide range of lighting conditions," says Kodak. It was launched in September last year and is available in a variety of formats from 35mm to 8x10.

Now, you have a chance to win five rolls of Kodak's Professional Portra 400 film - either in 35mm or 120 format. All you need to do is answer the following three questions:

Question 1: Which two popular Kodak films were replaced by Kodak's Professional Portra 400 film?
Question 2: From what line of motion picture films did Kodak borrow technology to produce its new Professional Portra 400 film?
Question 3: In what formats is Kodak's Professional Portra 400 film available?

Send your answers before 15 March 2011 at bjp.news@bjphoto.co.uk. Twenty winners will be randomly selected from all correct entries on 16 March 2011.

You must be one of BJP's Facebook fans to enter the contest. Include your full name, email and postal address, as well as your favoured type of photography. Do not forget to add whether you prefer to receive your five rolls of film in 35mm or 120 format. Answers to the three questions can be found in BJP's previous coverage of Kodak's Professional Portra 400 film.
