Contact Editions and ASA Collective will engage in an informal photo battle in a London event on 01 April
Author: Tina Remiz
The Contact vs ASA slideshow slam will feature new work from established and up-and-coming artists, including Seba Kurtis, Tomas Hein and Ed Clark from Contact Editions and Muge Tang, Raoul Gatepin and Jason Florio from ASA Collective. The slideshows curated by the two organisations will be projected simultaneously, creating accidental pairs and unforeseen juxtapositions.
The organisers promise an informal gathering of photography professionals and enthusiasts and guarantee intelligent discussions, vibrant music and beverages at affordable prices.
Both organisations have been running slideshow events over the past year, so it seems only natural for the two to join their forces, the organisers tells BJP. "We're always looking for new ways to collaborate with different organisations." Contact Editions is also planning future events with Photofusion and Roof Unit. They also aspire to bring the slideshow events on an international level and are currently mapping collaboration plans with photo groups from Norway and Argentina.
The free event will take place on the 4th Floor West, 255-259 Commercial Road in London.
