British Journal of Photography will be soon available for the iPad.

British Journal of Photography will be releasing, in coming weeks, a dedicated iPad application - offering readers fresh ways to access the magazine's content, as well as new and exclusive features and interviews

Author: Olivier Laurent

One year after unveiling a new, high-quality look, British Journal of Photography has announced the upcoming release of its dedicated iPad application.

"The BJP application will be a quaterly," says editor Simon Bainbridge. "It will bring the best content from the print magazine, together with some unique content. We're going to be adding multimedia, videos. There will be longer slideshows - we'll be able to put a lot more pictures than we can in print. We want you to think about this as a fully-fledged app - not like some of the other photography apps out there."

BJP's first iPad application, which will be available in coming weeks, will be free to all users. While awaiting the launch, BJP invites readers to register their interest on the application's dedicated website - www.bjpapp.com - and earn a chance to win £500 worth of Apple vouchers.

"Right now, we're still putting the finishing touches on the content and design of the application," says Bainbridge. "But we're absolutely convinced this will be the photography application for the iPad."

Android too!

Please let us have an Android app too! Believe it not some of us photographers have steered clear of the apple money trap!

Hmmm...

The app seems to have disappeared off the radar a little after a lot of publicity earlier in the year. Any news?
