The May issue of BJP is packed with exclusive tests, reviews and interviews, including an exclusive conversation with Tate's first-ever curator of photography Simon Baker, who tells BJP his plans to strengthen the museum's support for the medium.
In our Projects section, which highlights the most recent work of five photographers, we talk with Anna Skladmann, Nadav Kander, Irina Yulieva and Leagas Delaney Praha. We also have an interview with Egyptian photographer Laura El-Tantawy about her work during the recent uprising in her native country.
Philip-Lorca diCorcia is best known for his conceptual documentary work and making the street his own personal stage. BJP talks to him about his career so far. Meanwhile, Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin play with facts and fiction for the upcoming Krakow Photomonth Festival, which they are curating.
This month's portfolio is from Asger Carlsen's Wrong, the Danish photographer's first book.
For our technology readers, we have our first full review of the Fujifilm X100, as well as tests of Silver Efex Pro 2, Sigma's 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens, and Olympus' XZ-1.
