Slideluck Potshow, an event that combines photography slideshows with food, will be holding its third London event next month with photo editor Yumi Goto as curator
Author: Mikko Takkunen
Slideluck Potshow is coming back to London with a 18 June event to be held at Snap Studios. The SLPS brings together members of London's photography, art and media communities for a night of eating, drinking, and sharing stories.
This year's London show will be curated by Yumi Goto, who is now calling on photographers to submit their work for inclusion in the event. The theme is Multiculturalism Works, with the organizers specifically seeking deep and thought-provoking stories in response to Prime Minister David Cameron's recent speech on the failure of the multiculturalism in Britain.
For more than 10 years, SLPS has hosted multimedia slideshows with potluck dinners in cities all around the world. Recent slideshow contributors include: the Guggenheim Foundation, Elliott Erwitt, Gregory Crewdson, Nadav Kander, Platon, Elinor Carucci, Alec Soth, Martin Parr, and many others.
Slideluck Potshow London III takes place on 18 June at Snap Studios before going to Barcelona, Amsterdam, Milan, Bucharest and Paris.
Deadline for submissions is 23 May. Visit the Slideluck website.
