Join BJP and The Photographers' Gallery from 6.30pm on Monday 27 June at Barrio Central, Poland Street, to talk self published books - how to do it, and how to get them noticed
Author: Diane Smyth
Self-publishing is a hot topic right now, with an artist's book fair at the Son Gallery, Peckham this weekend and a huge photobook fair, including self-published books, coming up in Autumn [more details soon]. The Social is getting on board with a discussion devoted to self publishing on Monday 27 June, including presentations from Andreas Schmidt, from the Artists' Book Collective, and Maxwell Anderson, a self published book aficionado who also works at Chris Boot publishing company. The evening will start at 6.30pm and will include two short presentations, but we're keen to hear your thoughts and comments too.
The Social is an informal get-together run on the last Monday of the month by BJP and The Photographers' Gallery. The evening takes a different theme each time and always includes guest speakers, but is designed as a social night for photographers to meet and talk about their work. It's held at Barrio Central at 06 Poland Street, Soho, London W1F 8PS. Hope to see you there!
