Enter the British Journal of Photography' International Photography Award for the chance to get your work printed by Spectrum Photographic and exhibited at HOST Gallery

Author: Diane Smyth

Would you like to see your work printed by one of the best pro labs and exhibited by one of the best galleries? The International Photography Award offers you the chance. Run by the British Journal of Photography, the IPA offers one winner the chance to print his or her series of work at Spectrum Photographic, and show it at HOST Gallery. One other winner gets to do the same with a single shot.

This year's competition is open until 15 September, and the series category will be judged by Charlotte Cotton, creative director of the National Media Museum, Alexia Singh, editor-in-charge of the wider image desk at ThomsonReuters and Stuart Smith, from photobook specialist Smith Design. The single image category will be judged by Monica Allende, picture editor of The Sunday Times Magazine, Lauren Heinz from HOST Gallery and Hannah Watson, co-director of Trolley Books.

The winners also receive photographic kit - a Nikon D700 plus 50mm 14G lens for the series winner, and a Sigma DP1z digital compact for the single image winner. The IPA has been running since 2005 and previous winners include Edmund Clarke, author of Guantanamo: If the Light Goes Out (published by Dewi Lewis), and Michelle Sank, author of The Submerged (published by Schilt).

The competition is open to photographers anywhere in the world, and to any style of photography. For more details and to enter, visit www.bjp-online.com/ipa
