Leica is producing a limited Titanium-edition of its D-Lux 5 compact camera

Author: Olivier Laurent

The Leica D-Lux 5 Titanium shares the same features as the original D-Lux 5 model, including its 1/1.63" CCD 10.1-megapixel image sensor, a fast 5.1-19.2mm f/2-3.3 ASPH zoom lens with a focal length range of 24 to 90mm (35mm equivalent), and a three-inch LCD screen.

It comes in a "sophisticated, anodised silver-grey finish," says Leica, "presented in a special set with a premium grey leather case with shoulder strap."

The Leica D-Lux 5 Titanium special edition will be released this month, and will retail from £855.

Uh....

Guess it is their way to make a living these days. Personally wish one day they will make a true digital version of R9, however.

The M9 is much smaller, easier to use and has better lenses. Sure, DSLRs have their advantages, but I’d take a CSC or Rangefinder over a DSLR anytime.
