The London Street Photography Festival will be presenting its documentary Stand Your Ground at this year's Vision event, organised by British Journal of Photography.
"The film Stand Your Ground was made in June 2011 to explore the policing of public and private space by private security firms in the City and their reaction to photographers," say the festival's organisers. "The film follows six photographers as they attempt to photograph different streets and buildings. All six photographers were stopped by private security guards on at least one occasion. Three encounters led to police intervention."
One of these photographers, Grant Smith, will be on hand to discuss the increasing fear of photography in the city. Smith is a co-leader of the I'm a Photographer Not a Terrorist group.
BJP's Vision event takes place on 18 and 19 November and will feature keynote speakers Joachim Schmid and Daniel Meadows. Smith is speaking on 19 November.
