New speakers added to BJP's Vision event

Photography agent David Birkitt and photobook expert Bruno Ceschel will be speaking, this Friday, at BJP's Vision event in London

Bruno Ceschel, a lecturer in photography at Camberwell College of Arts in London, as well as a writer, curator and founder of Self Publish, Be Happy is set to speak at the British Journal of Photography's Vision event on Friday 18 November.

Ceschel will be talking about the rise of self-publishing in the photography industry and will present his organisation, Self Publish, Be Happy, which aims to promote, study and sell self-published photobooks. Ceschel has also recently published its first book titled ­Self Publish, Be Naughty.

Also speaking at BJP's Vision will be photography agent David Birkitt, the director of DMB Media. Birkitt, who represents photographers such as Martin Parr, Simon Roberts and Manuel Vasquez among many others, will be talking about how to build a successful career in photography.

Ceschel and Birkitt join a prestigious array of photographers and experts who will be speaking on 18 November. They include photography critic and curator Joachim Schmid and photographer Daniel Meadows.

Also speaking will be photojournalist Giles Duley, who will talk about his career before and after he lost an arm and his two legs while reporting from Afghanistan. Young and emerging photographers Guy Martin, Chloe Dewe Mathews and Laura Pannack will also share the stage to discuss how they made it in photography following their graduation.
