The Magnum Photos Professional Practice event is a weekend of lectures and presentations from leading figures of the photographic industry, who present their advice "on the best means in engaging with and working in these sectors," says Magnum.
"Eight speakers from a variety of industries, including the advertising and corporate, editorial, gallery, NGO, museum, publishing and rights managed sectors will each give presentations on their subject of expertise, with time for questions and networking opportunities."
The next Professional Practice event will take place in Birmingham on 03 and 04 December, with speakers including Tony Bell of The Observer, Laurence Watts of ActionAid, Dewi Lewis of Dewi Lewis Publishing, as well as Magnum photographer David Hurn, Peter James of the Birmingham Central Library, Rhiannon Reid of 24 Productions and Fiona Rogers, the cultural and education manager at Magnum Photos.
The agency is offering a discount of 15% to BJP's readers - quote "BJPreader" in the box "Where did you hear about this event?" within the online application form.
