How do you choose a printer? How do you choose how to print your work? And what options are available, at what cost? The Social is back on Monday, 27 February to tackle these and other printing questions, courtesy of acclaimed photographer Zed Nelson and Cos d'Aprano, co-founder of the Labyrinth Photographic. Labyrinth is an analogue printing lab, and works with Nelson plus other young stars of the British photography scene such as Anastasia Taylor-Lind, Ivor Prickett and Kate Peters. The lab recently celebrated its first birthday with an exhibition, which is on show until 01 March.
The Social is a monthly get-together for photographers organised by The Photographers Gallery. The event is free, and takes place from 6.30-8.30pm at Barrio Central, 06 Poland Street, London W1F 8PS. Previous nights have featured Simon Roberts, Simon Norfolk and David Spero.
Any possibility that info from meetings could be shared? Love to attend, esp this one about where/how to print.
Thanks very much for the interest - great to hear you'd like to be joining the events. The Photographers Gallery and BJP have made the decision not to record or film the events, so that the speakers involved feel free to give what is sometimes a very frank appraisal of the subject as they see it. However I do usually try to put a news story of the main points online after the event - keep an eye out on our site after Monday for this one.
Thanks again
Diane
