Luceo, a collective of young photographers, is organising a series of live and interactive events at this year's Look3 photo festival

Author: Olivier Laurent

Dubbed You Are Here, the series of events will see Luceo invite visitors to take part in a scavenger hunt, visit a living exhibition and share their own images via social networks.

It's the second time Luceo has attended the Look3 Festival of the Photograph in Charlottesville, Virginia in the US. This year, the You Are Here exhibition is drawn from the cooperative's ongoing group project Few & Far Between. "The exhibition is curated by the Santa Barbara Museum of Art curator Jesse Groves, who has focused the work on the idea of community," says Luceo. "The exhibition will be accompanied by a Few & Far Between film short produced by Rob Finch and scored by Tyler Strickland."

Luceo will also be organising a live scavenger hunt, where participants will be encouraged to locate pieces of the exhibition You Are Here hidden throughout the festival in exchange for prizes including a Fuji X100 camera, Lensbaby lenses, gear from Denver Pro Photo, and ThinkTank camera bags. "Participants will be integral to building the show by locating these pieces, returning them to the gallery, signing their individual sections and then hanging them on the wall," says Luceo. "The Hunt begins at 10am, Thursday 07 June and winners will be announced at a party on Friday 08 June."

Luceo will also have a live judging of their annual Student Project Award finalists. The first place winner will receive $1000 and a one-year mentorship with a Luceo member.
