The two-day course is intended to "deliver impartial guidance and networking opportunities from a wide range of visual imaging industries", says Magnum.
There are eight confirmed speakers, including Jonathan Bell, Magnum's editorial and publishing representative, Greg Hobson, curator of photographs at the National Media Museum and Mark Power, a Magnum member.
The lectures are aimed at professional, emerging and semi-professional photographers. "It is also an opportunity for non-photographers interested in working within the visual arts industry to receive an overview of the wide variety of jobs available in this sector," says Magnum.
To be considered for a place on the £200 course, applications need to be submitted online. "Successful candidates will be chosen on the perceived benefit to the applicant's career," says Magnum.
Ten bursary placements are also being offered to photographers under the age of 25, costing £50.
The event takes place on 28 and 29 July. Applications can be made online at www.ideastap.com/magum-professional-practice.
