Visa Pour l'Image is bringing together a panel of photojournalists and picture editors for a three-day workshop aimed at young photojournalists

Author: Olivier Laurent

For the third year running, Visa Pour l'Image is organising a three-day workshop aimed at the "next generation of photojournalists".

Transmission Pour l'Image is not "a course on how to take photos – quite the opposite", say the organisers. "It is the photographers and picture editors who will take the time to talk about their work and the choices they have made, and who will explain how they have produced, chosen, published and sold their pictures."

Starting from 03 September, photographers Patrick Chauvel, Chris Morris and Joao Silva will take charge of groups of young photojournalists, with the help of Jon Jones, picture editor of the Sunday Times Magazine. Peter Bouckaert of Human Rights Watch and Jérôme Delay will also be on hand.

The three-day workshop costs €500. For more details, visit the Visa Pour l'Image website.
