Sinar is introducing a new medium format digital back, fitted with a 48.8-megapixel sensor measuring 48.0 x 36.0mm.
The eXact back can shoot images at a variety of resolutions, ranging from 12 megapixels to 192 megapixels, using the XL four-shot mode.
The back also offers an XL 16-shot mode, which is said to sample real colours from the subject for each half-pixel step in both direction.
"This method provides un-interpolated colour sampling for cleaner and more accurate colours with greater contour sharpness."
The back has a sensitivity range of ISO50 to ISO800 and can shoot up to 13 images per minute.
Pricing and availability have yet to be determined.
