The Aftermath Project is a non-profit organisation that aims to help photographers tell the story of aftermath issues around war, as well as making their work more accessible to a wider audience.
The book, War is Only Half the Story, Vol 5, will feature the work of photographers Davide Monteleone, winner of Aftermath's annual grant competition, along with that of finalists Elizabeth Herman, Lara Ciarabellini and Massimo Mastrorillo, Carlos Javier Ortiz and Miquel Dewener-Palna.
Although the National Endowment for the Arts has supported the publication of Aftermath's books for the past three years, their grant of $15,000 does not cover the entire cost of publishing the book, leaving Aftermath to raise the rest of the money itself.
Aftermath has so far raised $13,890 of the $23,500 needed. For more details and to help, visit Aftermath's Kickstarter page.
