The Olympus Pen E-P1, targeted at both amateur and professional photographers. The camera, which Olympus is marketing as the missing link between compact cameras and digital SLRs, doesn't sport a mirror box, allowing for a more compact and lighter model while keeping the quality of images specific of DSLRs.

The compact camera, which is a bit smaller than Olympus E-620 DSLR, fits a 12.3 million pixel resolution LIVE MOS sensor and the new TruePic V image processor, which allows for an ISO range of up to 6400. The E-P1 also has an in-camera stabilisation system and can record up to five minutes of high-resolution 1280x720p videos at 30fps. Movies can be recorded and played back in AVI format, at both standard 4:3 or wide screen 16:9 aspect ratios.

Here is a test of the camera's video capabilities.
