Events

Big guns are lined up for Visa

Visa Pour L'Image, the 16th International Festival of Photojournalism, will again see the biggest photo agencies from around the world represented in both exhibitions and evening events.

To name but a few, Magnum Photos' Eugene Richards and Abbas will both showing work while Ami Vitale, winner of the 2003 Canon Female Photojournalist Award will exhibit a series from Kashmir.

Her successor, the 2004 award winner, will be announced at this year's festival along with the Fujifilm Young Photographer Award and the 2004 Care International Award for Humanitarian Reportage.

Evening events include a Tribute to Robert Capa by Werner Bischof and a collection of images entitled Iraq, Israel/Palestine: the most significant recent events.

A detailed profile will be featured in BJP 25 August in which Sarah Case will offer a preview of events including an interview with organiser Jean-Francois Leroy.
