Dream Project Award

Getting work published and finding funds for new projects are two of the toughest challenges that photographers face but BJP and Nikon have teamed up to help. For the third year, BJP’s prestigious Endframe slot will include the Dream Project Challenge. All photographers who successfully submit their work to Endframe will be automatically entered into this competition, and at the end of the year, one lucky winner will be given £5000 to undertake their Dream Project.

To enter the BJP/Nikon Endframe Dream Project Challenge, simply submit a themed folio of your work to Endframe, together with a self-portrait and the appropriate personal details as well as a brief outline (not more than 50 words) of your Dream Project. Your Dream Project proposal must be for a specific body of work that you would like to undertake right now: the subject is completely open – from portraiture or sport, via architecture or fine art, to reportage or still life. At the end of the year a panel will meet to review the Endframe submissions and proposals, and eight people will each be awarded a £300 development grant to research their ideas in depth. No finished photographs will be required at this stage.

The eight finalists’ detailed proposals will then be examined, and one person will be awarded a £5000 grant to carry out his/her Dream Project. You should bear in mind that your proposal must fit within the £5000 budget: a detailed costing will be required at the development stage. Send to Endframe/BJP, Haymarket House, 28/29 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4RX.

The winner’s work, and portfolios from each of the seven other finalists, will be promoted in various ways.

The copyright in all material, both weekly Endframe folios and the winner’s Dream Project, remains with the photographer. All eight quarterly finalists grant BJP and Nikon the right to use their Endframe folios, in full and in part, for all purposes in connection with the BJP/Nikon Endframe Dream Project Challenge only. In addition, the overall winner guarantees BJP exclusive first publication rights, and also grants BJP and Nikon the right to use the final project, in full and in part, for all purposes in connection with the

BJP/Nikon Endframe Dream Project Challenge only.
