Colourful photo viewing options from Epson

Epson is adding to its range of mobile storage devices, with the release of two high-capacity photo viewers.

The P-7000 and P-6000 feature a large four-inch 640x480 pixel LCD screen, designed to provide a wider viewing angle and wide colour gamut, covering 94% of the Adobe RGB colour space.

The photo viewers can also be used with Adobe Photoshop as a USB connected wide gamut display, while photo editing or performing post-production work, giving the same level of colour accuracy as a professional monitor for a reduced price.

New features also allow users to edit and trim images and embed watermarks. Photographers can also choose between full or differential backups giving the option to transfer all the data from the memory card to the viewer or just new files. JPEG and raw formats from all major camera manufacturers are supported, as well as a broad range of memory cards, including CompactFlash and SecureDigital.

The P-7000, with a capacity of 160GB, comes with a battery charger, an in-car charger and a carrying case It will retail at £550 starting 01 September. The 80GB P-6000 will retail at £450.
