  1. The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize is upon us and the combatants this year are Anna Fox, Zoe Leonard, Sophie Ristelhueber and Donovan Wylie… let battle commence, at The Photographers’ Gallery from 12 February to 18 April.

  2. STHLM ‘go away to come home’ is the title of Jannica Honey’s contemplative consideration of the contrasts between Scotland and Sweden, and contains this shot, left. One show at Zedart in Edinburgh from 04 to12 February.

  3. Shaped by War: Photographs by Don McCullin reflects on a lifetime on the front line of numerous conflicts. The exhibition, at the Imperial War Museum North, runs from 06 February to 13 June.

  4. Fernand Fonssagrives, one of the most influential fashion photographers of his time, and former husband of the model Lisa Fonssagrives, is the subject of a retrospective at the Michael Hoppen Gallery until 20 February.

  5. Santu Mofokeng, a South African photographer with a singular eye can be seen at the Aberystwyth Art Centre until 20 March.
