Wedding Photographers, Shoot The Day Weddings

If you are a photographer who thinks wedding photography is about photographing the bride & groom standing posed & motionless with cheesy bland smiles, looking at the camera, then carry on doing that...... but please don't contact us.

If you think ‘reportage' means shooting random photographs without any real concern for composition or lighting, or whether the photos make their clients look attractive, then please don't contact us.

However, if you prefer predicting what will happen next, are a natural observer and can capture the innumerable significant and emotional moments throughout the day, and can make your subjects look fabulous, then read on.

We are looking for experienced reportage wedding photographers who have their own pro digital kit and would like some additional wedding work throughout the year. It goes without saying that your technical ability will be to a standard that enhances your imagery.

You must be fully at ease with other people so that you inspire the confidence that allows you to create vibrant and natural images which in turn will bring out the personalities of your subjects.

If you can demonstrate that you can shoot interesting but natural wedding images rather than just ‘run of the mill' then we'd like to hear from you. We don't want to see ‘forced' shots or ‘complicated posing' of the B&G in so-called ‘arty' shots. That's not our style. We are about decisive and passionate moments, emotion and interaction. We produce images where people look great and are enjoying themselves. We also take care to photograph the details from the day so that our couples can enjoy what they often miss in the rush of the wedding day.

Please look at our website www.shoottheday.net  and if your images and personality truly fits in with ours then we'd like to hear from you. We pay between £450 and £600 per 8 hour wedding.

Once we get an enquiry we will arrange for you to have the initial meeting with the prospective client and show them examples of your work. We will look after all the administration pertinent to each wedding and we will manage ALL the post production, including image correction and album production. We would expect a minimum of 500 acceptable images from each wedding excluding blinks and missed expressions.

If this is something that would fit in with your current commitments please contact Keith Hammond at info@shoottheday.net with a link either to your website or some images which demonstrate your ability. Tell us a bit about yourself; how long you've been shooting weddings and roughly how many weddings you shoot each year and we'll get back to you.
